The Jackson Flat site is part of the larger Far Western Kayenta Culture. The field work and analysis are the combined work of several archaeologists spanning 2005 through 2013. Research questions for the study included issues relating to the timing of the adoption of agriculture, cultural identity, subsistence strategies, faunal remains, community organization, exotic materials and trade relationships, and mortuary patterns (13).
