Megan Ann Stanton completed her PhD in history at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her doctoral work received the 2019 Best Dissertation Award from the Mormon History Association. She is at work on a book manuscript on nineteenth-century ideas about lineal authority within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, now known as the Community of Christ.
