The Soundtrack of The Killing, its Orientalist Features, and the Implicit Other

kaapo huttunen is currently a PhD student at the University of Turku, the Faculty of Humanities. He conducts research on the role of music and sound design in the aesthetics of Nordic noir, the crime fiction style from the Nordic region, which rose to prominence after the turn of the millennium. Huttunen received a master's degree in musicology from the University of Helsinki and is also a working composer in his native country, Finland, where he has composed music for various purposes, from television documentaries and short films to theater and radio plays.
