An Interview with Richard Beggs

Kate McQuiston is professor of music at the University of Hawai’i at Mănoa. She is the author of “We’ll Meet Again”: Musical Design in the Films of Stanley Kubrick (Oxford, 2013) and recent articles on music in the work of Wes Anderson and Robert Altman. Her research investigates quotation and originality in film music, the use of pre-existing music in film, music biopics, and music and sound in the work of auteurs.
