RYAN A. DAVIS received his PhD from Emory University and is currently professor of Hispanic studies at Illinois State University. He has published on a variety of topics including hypnotism, physician-authored fiction, and religion. He is the author of The Spanish Flu: Narrative and Cultural Identity in Spain, 1918 (2013).
