Cian T. McMahon holds a joint appointment as Associate Professor of History in the Department of History and Honors College at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. His first monograph, entitled The Global Dimensions of Irish Identity: Race, Nation, and the Popular Press, 1840–1800, was published in 2015 by the University of North Carolina Press.
