ASHER TOBIN CHODOS is a musicologist, piainist, and composer. He is a graduate of the Dave Brubeck Institute (studied jazz performance) and Columbia University (studied ancient Greek and Latin). He holds a PhD in music from University of California, San Diego, where he pursued a dual emphasis in musicology and composition. He has published scholarship on topics ranging from jazz to science and technology studies, and his music has received attention in the United States and abroad.
