LOUIS CORSINO is a professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and a Ruge Fellow at North Central College. He is an urban scholar with interests in the areas of immigration, ethnic entrepreneurship, and organized crime. He has published in a number of journals, and most recently his new book, The Neighborhood Outfit: Organized Crime in Chicago Heights, was published by the University of Illinois Press (2014).
