John Sullivan Dwight, Blindness, and Music Education
Michael Accinno is a lecturing fellow in the Thompson Writing Program at Duke University. He holds a PhD in musicology from the University of California, Davis. He is currently working on a book manuscript examining the history of music education at schools for the blind in the United States and the United Kingdom. His published work appears in The Oxford Handbook of Music and Disability Studies and the Journal of Interdisciplinary Voice Studies.
