Status Quo Ante: Music in (Post)Quality TV

Dr. Willem Strank is a postdoctoral research fellow and master’s degree coordinator for film and TV studies at Kiel University. He is cofounder of the Kiel Society for Film Music Research and coeditor of the e-journals Kiel Papers on Film Music Research and Rock and Pop in the Movies and the annual book series FilmMusik. In addition to numerous publications in the field of film music research, he is the author of Twist Endings: Umdeutende Film-Enden (Schüren, 2014). He is currently working on a book about representations of capital and control in US and German films of the 1980s.
