ABSTRACT
The article examines the key ideas of the World Council of Churches’ document The Church: Towards a Common Vision and critiques them from the perspectives of Christian churches in Asia. While the document is an informative summary of Western ecclesiologies in the last two decades, it needs to be revised substantially to meet the challenges facing Asian Christianity.
