Italian Research on Utopia and Utopianism

vita fortunati was a professor of English literature and director of the Interdepartmental Center on Utopia at the University of Bologna. She has coordinated many European thematic networks: Cultural Memory in European Countries and Interfacing Science, Literature, and the Humanities. She has focused her research on utopian studies and has promoted a transcultural investigation of the relationship between utopia and national cultural identity. She has extensively published books and essays on modernism, utopian literature, women's writing, cultural memory, nostalgia, the representation of the female body, and aging between culture and medicine.
