ABSTRACT
This article on utopian studies in Italy starts by focusing on two collaborative projects: The Dictionary of Literary Utopias and the Histoire transnationale de l'utopie littéraire et de l'utopisme (Transnational History of Literary Utopias and Utopianism), coordinated by Vita Fortunati and Raymond Trousson, which involved scholars from Italy and worldwide. It further describes the interests, activities, and publications of two research centers—based in Bologna and Lecce—and of other research groups based in Italy. Finally, it discusses the future of utopian studies in Italy.
