Roi Tartakovsky is currently a visiting scholar at New York University's Department of English, and in fall 2015 he will begin a tenure-track position at Tel Aviv University (Department of English and American Studies). His dissertation, completed at Tel Aviv University, theorized and exemplified the phenomenon of “sporadic rhyming” in British and American poetry from Chaucer to the present day. An article on sporadic rhyme appears in Language and Literature (2014), and an article on E. E. Cummings's use of parentheses appears in Style (2009). His research interests include prosody and sound in their relation with psychoanalytic theory, as well as photography in its relation with theories of temporality. He teaches writing, poetic theory, and narrative theory.
