A Whole New Look at Another Human Being: John Steinbeck Available to Purchase

NANCY RICKETTS lives in Sitka, Alaska. For the past fifty years she worked as a librarian and archivist—and she still works one morning a week as an archivist in Jan Straley's whale lab. For the past two and a half years, she has also been working on her embroidered wall hangings and has completed four: for the Sitka Science Center (a Gonionemus); for the Sitka Fine Arts Camp (a line from Bach's choral—“Striving still to truth unknown”); for Baranof Elementary School (Aladdin's Lamp superimposed on a book; her collaborator was artist Norman Campbell); and for the University of Alaska (a nudibranch). She is now planning to work on one for her church.
