The Elwyn Archives and Museum

CHELSEA D. CHAMBERLAIN is an Assistant Professor of History at Wilkes University. She holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and a MA from the University of Montana. She is a member of the advisory board of the Pennhurst Memorial and Preservation Alliance and the humanities advisor for the preproduction documentary The Fate of Human Beings, which explores institutional cemeteries and historical memory in the United States.

ELLIOTT W. SIMON is vice president of the Pennhurst Memorial and Preservation Alliance and its director of government relations. He is a licensed psychologist with over forty years of experience as a clinician, researcher, and administrator in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. A graduate of Emory University with a Ph.D. in psychology, he is the past executive director of research and quality improvement at Elwyn and served as the curator of its archives and museum. He is currently a historical consultant to Elwyn.
