The World War I Scrapbooks and Photographs of Major General Edward Martin

richard c. saylor has been employed by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission since 1991. He is currently a reference archivist in the Pennsylvania State Archives. Earlier PHMC duties included: assistant curator of military, political, and industrial history at the State Museum of Pennsylvania; assistant registrar for PHMC; and head of the Appraisal and Acquisitions Section of the State Archives. He is the author of numerous articles about Pennsylvania military, political and sports history, and film censorship. His first book, Soldiers to Governors: Pennsylvania's Civil War Veterans Who Became State Leaders, published in August 2010, won an Award of Merit from the American Association for State and Local History. He holds a BA in history from Elizabethtown College and a MA in American studies from the Pennsylvania State University.
