JENNIFER WOODRUFF TAIT is the managing editor of Christian History magazine and the author of The Poisoned Chalice: Eucharistic Grape Juice and Common-Sense Realism in Victorian Methodism. She is a graduate of Duke (Ph.D.) and Asbury (M.Div.), as well as holding an M.S. in library science from the University of Illinois. Formerly a United Methodist clergyperson, she is now a supply priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky.
