American Methodism and “The New Morality”
Ashley Boggan Dre ff is currently the Director of United Methodist Studies at Hood Theological Seminary. She joined the faculty at Hood in August of 2017 after graduating from Drew Theological School in May, 2017, with a Ph.D. in American Religious History. While at Drew, she focused on Wesleyan/Methodist Studies and Women/Gender Studies, completing a dissertation which forms that basis of her forthcoming book Entangled: A History of American Methodism, Politics, and Sexuality (New Room Books, fall, 2018). Dreff has held previous positions at the General Commission on Archives and History of The United Methodist Church and the Connectional Table of The United Methodist Church.
