Therí Pickens, PhD, is the author of two books: New Body Politics: Narrating Arab and Black Identity in the Contemporary United States (Routledge, 2014) and Black Madness: Mad Blackness (Duke UP, 2019). She has edited three volumes: a special issue of College Language Association Journal, Arab American Aesthetics, and a special issue of African American Review.
