ABSTRACT

As a Jew who does theatre, I find that my work has not only been forced to deal with the inability to produce and perform live theatre, but at the same time doing Jewish theatre has now taken on multiple meanings … where swastikas are brandished at rallies to blame governors for regulations to stay at home and quarantine. Posters of rats bringing this plague were decorated with Jewish Stars and parts of Mein Kampf were used in a Kentucky police training manual—what is a Jewish theatremaker to do?
