Abstract

In spite of differences, the humanist and project management approaches to problem solving have a lot in common. This paper uses the Gestalt Cycle of Experience (COE) in an attempt to use the successful humanistic approach to improve project management processes. The paper demonstrates that both individual decision making and project management use similar processes. Hence, implementing the Gestalt blocks that identify barriers in the humanistic process involved in the project management process, may reduce the currently high percentage of project failures.
