L. Earle Reybold is an associate professor at George Mason University, where she teaches advanced qualitative methods, case study research, and ethics in higher education. Reybold has co-edited two books, authored or co-authored a number of journal articles on faculty identity, and organized dozens of workshops and program evaluations.

Mark D. Halx received his Ph.D. in education policy and planning from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently an educational research consultant in San Antonio. His research interests include critical education, student development, and qualitative research methods. His research explores critical consciousness development in marginalized student populations.
