This is the last issue I edited, and I send a big thank-you to the editorial board members who have been so expert and thorough over the past twenty-five years. The Poe Review depends on them.

Before writing this last “From the Editor,” I took out my Mabbott edition of Poe’s poems and turned to the page marked with an old Post-it note. There was “Stanzas”—clearly it had left its mark on my mind—especially acknowledging the abrupt awareness—like “the tear to the lid / Will start, which lately slept in apathy”—of seeing beauty in the ordinary, a gift Poe knew early and one I hold close.
