Digital Humanities Approaches to Literary Translation

YIFENG SUN is chair professor of Translation Studies in the Department of English and senior research fellow in the Institute of Advanced Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Macau, as well as honorary professor at the University of Queensland. He is editor-in-chief of Babel: International Journal of Translation, and former vice president of the International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies. He is the author of Translational Spaces (in press), Translating Foreign Otherness (2018), Cultural Translation (2016), Perspective, Interpretation and Culture (2nd edition, 2006), Cultural Exile and Homeward Journey (2005), and Fragmentation and Dramatic Moments (2002), and editor or coeditor of Translating Chinese Art and Modern Literature (2019), Translation and Academic Journals (2015), and Translation, Globalisation and Localisation (2008).

DECHAO LI is associate professor of Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He also serves as the chief editor of Translation Quarterly, a journal published by the Hong Kong Translation Society. His main research areas include corpuses-based translation studies, empirical approaches to translation process research, history of translation in the late Qing and early Republican periods, and PBL and translator/interpreter training. He has published over sixty articles in journals such as Perspectives: Studies in Translation Theory and Practice, The Translator and Interpreter Trainer, Chinese Translators Journal, Modern Foreign Languages, Foreign Language Teaching and Research, and Journal of Foreign Languages as well as some book chapters published by Routledge, Springer, and Wayne State University Press.
