Dian Fox is Professor of Spanish, Comparative Literature, and Women's and Gender Studies at Brandeis University. She has written books and articles on Early Modern Spanish theater, poetry, and Cervantes. With Donald Hindley, she published a bilingual critical edition of Calderón's El médico de su honra, and is currently working on a second edition of this translation. Her longer-term project is a book-length study of expressions of masculinity, nationalism, and violence in Spanish Renaissance poetry and Drama. fox@brandeis.edu
