This past spring I received word from his wife that longtime Miller Society member Frank Ardolino passed away on 3 December 2020 in Honolulu, his home for over forty years. Frank had serious long-term illnesses, and he fought the good fight.
Frank was born in Brooklyn, New York. While earning degrees from St. John's University (BA) and New York University (MA), he taught in the New York secondary schools. He joined the staff at the University of Hawaii after he completed his doctorate at the University of California, Riverside. He spent the next thirty-five years teaching English at the University of Hawaii and published books and articles on his primary interests, Renaissance literature and drama, including two books on Thomas Kyd's The Spanish Tragedy. He also wrote numerous articles on modern drama, sports literature and film, and Hawaiian sports history.
