This issue of The Arthur Miller Journal verifies how Miller's work continues to be scrutinized from various critical approaches that offer strikingly original analysis of his dramatic canon. The essays by distinguished Miller scholars Susan Abbotson and Jane K. Dominik, respectively, explore Miller's indebtedness to The Brothers Karamazov and the scant attention paid to the working women in Miller's plays. Emerging scholar Melissa Day shows how mothers in Miller and Williams's plays are guilty of manipulating their sons to suit their own needs. David Smith provides his interview with Phil Willmott, the director of Incident at Vichy at the Finborough Theatre, London. On 21 October 2017, the Arthur Miller Society sponsored an “Arthur Miller Birthday Commemoration” at St. Francis College in Brooklyn Heights.
