Turning Back Time: Friedrich Kittler, Reversibility, and Media of Time Axis Manipulation

Jake Fraser is Assistant Professor of German and Humanities at Reed College. His work on media theory and eighteenth- to twentieth-century German literature and thought has previously appeared in the Archiv für Mediengeschichte, the Deutsche Vierteljahrsschrift für Literaturwissenschaft und Geistesgeschichte, and the Kleist-Jahrbuch, among others. He is currently completing a monograph on media technologies and the manipulation of time.
