L. Ashley Squires holds a PhD from the University of Texas at Austin and serves as an Assistant Professor of Humanities and Languages at the New Economic School in Moscow, Russia. Her research and teaching interests include the intersections between fin de siècle American literature and religious history, the international reception of American literature, and the digital humanities. She is the author of Healing the Nation: Literature, Progress, and Christian Science (2017) as well as articles in such journals as Book History, Nineteenth-Century Literature, and Studies in the Novel.
