Reanimating the Domestic Still Life Available to Purchase
Ashley Brock is Assistant Professor of Romance Languages at the University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches courses on modern Latin American literature and culture, with an emphasis on the Southern Cone and Brazil. Her research interests include literature of the Americas and hemispheric American studies; photography, film, and visual culture; and the politics of avant-garde and difficult poetics. Her book manuscript, Lessons in Dwelling: Critical Regionalist Poetics in the Americas, asks after the role of experimental technique in making local ways of life communicable to outsiders. She holds a PhD in comparative literature from the University of California, Berkeley.
