PHILIP JOSEPH is Associate Professor of English and Director of the Center for Public Humanities at the University of Colorado Denver. He is the author of American Literary Regionalism in a Global Age (LSU Press, 2007) and is currently at work on a book (Voices of the New Wars) focusing on child narrators in the film and literature of contemporary war.
